New Castle- Frank B. Miller, 89, of New Castle, passed away on Monday July 18, 2011 at the Heritage House of New Castle after an extended illness. Frank was born on July 23, 1921 in Harrison, Ohio, the son of the late Frank Joseph and Elizabeth Ragar Miller. Frank graduated from Lewisville High School with the class of 1940. He enlisted in the United States Army in 1942 and graduated from Signal Corp Radar School and the Capital Radio Engineering Institute. He was then stationed at the Panama Canal for 34 months during World War II and was Honorably Discharged in 1945 with the rank of Staff Sergeant. Frank was employed in the accounting department at the New Castle Chrysler Corporation for 37 years before retiring in 1986. He was an avid New Castle Trojan Basketball fan and loved sports of all kinds. He played semi-professional baseball and coached the St. Anne School basketball team. One of the highlights of his coaching career was coaching Kent Benson.
