Francoise Previlon Simon, daughter of the late Exalien Previlon and Sainte Anne Clement was born on December 15, 1951, in Desdunes Haiti.

In 1980, Francoise emigrated to the United States to join her husband in search for a better life for their family.  Their union was blessed with three children whom, Francoise loved dearly.    Francoise worked tirelessly to provide for her family.  Upon her entry into the United States, she capitalized on her seamstress background and worked several jobs in the sewing industry.  In always wanting to provide the best for her family, she ultimately received formal education and joined the healthcare profession as a certified nursing aide in 1996.  Francoise excelled in the profession as a result of her hard work ethic, generous spirit, and pleasant personality.  She was loved by both the patients she cared for and the colleagues she worked with.  She unfortunately had to retire from the profession in 2008 after being diagnosed with Cancer.  Despite her diagnosis, Francoise was courageous and poured all of her efforts into her family and their well-being.

Francoise was an anchor of the Previlon and Simon family and was also the source of strength and wisdom for all who sought her guidance.  She would always tell you the truth even if she knew the truth would hurt because she believed in telling it “Like it is.”   She played an influential role in the lives of all who were fortunate to know her and loved being at all family events where her love of cooking could be on display.

Francoise quietly departed this life on Thursday March 24, 2022, leaving many wonderful memories for us all to carry with us.  She was preceded in death by her brothers and sisters Denizard Previlon, Dieufaite Previlon, Yvon Previlon, and Wislande Previlon.

Her beautiful life will forever be cherished in the life of her husband of 50 years Roosevelt Simon, as well as her children and grandchildren Roussel Simon, Sherlin Simon, Frantzou Simon, Braeh Simon, Cheyenne Simon, Brice Simon, Blake Simon, Cruz Simon, and daughters through marriage that she adored Marlene Stewart, Lisa Brown, and Kathy Simon.

Also, to cherish her life and legacy is her mother Sainte Anne Clement, her loving brothers and sisters Delicia Previlon, Marie Yolene Previlon, Jean Alex Previlon, Cleante Previlon, Wilguet Previlon, Phalange Previlon, Bernaden Previlon, Clairelende Previlon, Rita Previlon, and a host of cousins, devoted nieces and nephews and friends who were like her extended family.
