Francisco L. “Frank” Montoya, 59, of Firestone, passed away January 17, 2013 at his home. He was born in Denver, CO to John and Mildred (Cordova) Montoya on April 29, 1953. He graduated from Ft. Lupton High School in 1971 and attended UNC in Greeley for 2 years. He married Sandra McGill on February 16, 2012 in Firestone, Colorado.
Frank worked for Qwest Communications as a technician for numerous years and previously for HP in Loveland and Sun Micro Systems in Loveland. He loved to work on computers.
In his spare time, Frank loved golfing and fishing. He loved to work with his hands and his passion in life was landscaping his backyard “paradise”. He was a passionate and articulate man, a loving husband and father. He loved the Lord with his heart and soul.
Frank is survived by his parents, John and Mildred Montoya of Ft. Lupton; his wife, Sandra of Firestone; children, Francine (Robert) Kamada of Omaha, Arkansas, Shannon (Larry) Longan of Frederick, Estevan Montoya of Aurora, Francisco (Christine) Montoya of Denver, Florentino Montoya of Denver, Dane McGill of Denver, Jessica (Eran Zamudio) McGill of Firestone, Jonathan Montoya of Firestone; brothers, John (Vicki) Montoya of Ft. Lupton and Leno Montoya of Ft. Lupton; sisters, Linda (Roger) Smith of Platteville and Sharon (David Schultz) Montoya of Ft. Lupton; 11 grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Other survivors include several nieces and nephews.
