Mr. Francis X. “Doc” Kane
, 78, of Kearny departed suddenly on Saturday April 25, 2009.
Francis was born in Westfield, NJ and lived in Jersey City before moving to Kearny as a young adult.
He served in the United States Marine Corps. with the rank of Sergeant, during the Korean War and was awarded the Korean Service Medal; 3rd Star, the United Nations Service Medal, and the National Service Medal.
He was employed as a materials manager for the Volvo of America Corp. He retired 18 years ago.
He is survived by his loving sister Susan Reynolds of Washington, NJ and two wonderful brothers; Michael Kane (Peggy) of Rutherford and John Kane (Judy) of Glen Gardner. He is also survived by a sister-in-law, Rita Kane of Flemington, NJ and many nieces and nephews and grand-nieces and nephews.
