Francis R. “Frank” Tracy, 87, of Boise, passed away on Wednesday, March 21, 2012 at a local hospital, surrounded by his family. Frank was born on February 23, 1925 in Rupert, Idaho to Kieran B. and Anna C. (Pregler) Tracy. He attended school in Rupert and graduated from Rupert High School in 1943. He served in the U.S. Army from May of 1944 to May of 1946.
He married Hazel Sullivan on June 22, 1946. Together they had three children, Raymond, Stephen and Susan. They farmed in the Rupert area, and he was also employed by Mini-Cassia Marketing Co-op, and J.R. Simplot Co. They moved to Boise in 1970, and Frank was employed by Consumers Grocery, and Jerry’s 27th St. Market. Frank retired in July of 1992.
He is survived by his wife, Hazel of 65 years; two sons, Raymond E. (Suzanne) Tracy, and Stephen F. Tracy; one daughter, Susan A.
The family would like to give a special thank you to the staff at St. Alphonsus Hospital, and the Boise Police Department for the special care they provided to Frank.
