Francis M. “Frank Erdelyi, 59, of South Bend, IN, passed away 12:15 a.m., Monday, May 8, 2006, in Hospice House. Frank was born on January 29, 1947 in Plymouth, IN to Julius and Margaret (Arch) Erdelyi, and was an area lifelong resident. He retired from Roadway Express where he worked for six years. He had also been employed with Preston Trucking. On February 6, 1971, in South Bend, he married Linda A. Yancik, who survives.
Also surviving are his two daughters, Kristen (Randy) Hayden of Ft. Wayne, IN and Nicole Erdelyi of Albuquerque, NM; four brothers, Julius Duce (Donna) Erdelyi, Robert Erdelyi, Thomas (Florence) Erdelyi, and Joseph Erdelyi all of Walkerton, IN; a first cousin, Rosemary (John) Goheen of South Bend, IN; and by many cousins, nieces, and nephews. He will be greatly missed by his lab, Sidney.
