Francis J. Talarico, affectionately known as Frank, passed away peacefully on July 26, 2023, in Bryn Mawr, a few days short of his 98th birthday. He was born in Ardmore on August 8, 1925, to the late Thomas and Annynziata Teci Talarico. Frank was a remarkable person who touched many lives with his strength, generosity, and bravery.
Frank is predeceased by his beloved wife, Christine R. Di Giandomenico Talarico; his loving daughter, Nancy K. Talarico- Sakaguchi; his siblings, Italia Rossi, Antonette Edwards, and Anthony Talarico.
He is survived by his devoted daughter, Lynda A. Talarico- McKeever (Hugh McKeever). His three cherished grandchildren, Francis, Hugh Patrick McKeever, and Rebecca Sakaguchi. Three great- grandchildren, Grace, George, and Owen McKeever.
Frank, a native of Ardmore, PA, attended St. Dennis School before enlisting in the U.S. Army during World War II. He served as a fearless Tank Gunner in France and Germany during the Rhineland Central European Campaign, where he survived the Battle of Bugle. Frank’s unwavering courage, dedication to his country, and selflessness were a testament to his strong character.
Frank was a humorous, kind-hearted individual who embodied the true essence of a Calabrian, a “testa dura.
A life that was lived with beauty deserves to be remembered beautifully. As we mourn the loss of Francis J. Talarico, we also celebrate the life of a man who was so much to so many. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
