Frances Stanage, 91, of Three Oaks, Michigan, died Saturday morning, December 1, 2007 at Memorial Hospital in South Bend, Indiana. Mrs. Stanage was born May 28, 1916 in Bridgman, Michigan to August and Eva (Spitzer) Krumrie.
On May 2, 1936 she married Marion G. Stanage in LaPorte, Indiana. Mr. Stanage preceded her in death, after 32 years of marriage, on August 28, 1968. She enjoyed cooking, canning, sewing, crocheting, and caring for her family. Mrs. Stanage was a faithful member of St. John’s Congregation of Three Oaks and belonged to the Women’s Guild at the church.
Survivors include her children, Judith Hultgren, LaPorte; Nancy (Eugene) Klute, LaPorte; Dean (Pam) Stanage, Bridgman; Betty (Ken) Klockow, LaPorte, and Lori (John)Bare of Winneconne, Wisconsin; 13 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; 9 great great grandchildren and her sister, Martha Bennett of Galien, Michigan. She was preceded in death by her infant son, Gerald; daughter, Martha Jean Swanson; a grandchild; a great grandchild; sisters, Alma, Dora and Edna; and her brothers Adolph, Ewalt, and Julius.
