Frances Eleanor Norgaard was graced by her Lord with a peaceful passing in her home on 29 June 2018. Frances left this earth as a devout and faithful servant of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, and has begun her eternity in the arms of the Lord that has sustained her throughout this life.
Frances was born on September 11, 1931 in Natchez, MS. The majority of her life was blessed with 35 years of residence in Hobbs, NM and almost twenty years with the Norgaard Family of Eau Claire, WI. Frances was a devout member/affiliate of Trinity Lutheran Church in Hobbs for over 50 years
Frances took great pride in her life of volunteering for numerous organizations which include Pink Ladies; various school projects, church related choir, alter guild, & council positions; Red Cross Water Safety instructor, volunteering with the Boy & Girl Scouts of America to help them get their water related badges at no cost; and a Former member of the Order of the Eastern Star. Frances had a passion for ballet in her younger years, with her dance company being featured in a 1949 issue of National Geographic. Her later hobbies included fishing, volunteering, canning vegetables, fruits and jellies.
Frances was preceded in death by her parents, Charles Dunbar Babbit and Ruth Theresa Gardner, her sister Mattie Ruth Duvic, and her husband, Carroll Norgaard.
Frances is survived by her four children, Charles Ramsey (Marji Ramsey) of Ruston, LA, John Ramsey (Chalene Ramsey) of Bullhead City, AZ, Byron Petty of Hobbs, NM, and Macelle (Mace) Petty (David Borden) of Hobbs, NM. Frances is also survived by numerous Grandchildren & Great Grandchildren. Frances was recognized & loved by many others who endearingly called her “Nana”.
