Frances Marie Polk, age 75, of Lost Creek, WV passed away on Saturday, March 30, 2016 at her daughters residence. She was born August 27, 1940 in Hampton, Virginia; the daughter of the late Calumet Sawyer and Eleanor (Faulk) Sawyer.
Frances is survived by three children, Charles William Polk & his wife, Kim of Lakeland, FL, Cynthia Smallwood & her son-in-law, Robert Losh of Lost Creek, WV and Michael Polk & his wife, Bobbie Jean of Lost Creek, WV; five grandchildren, Roy Keith Polk & his wife, Marie of Orlando, FL, Justin Polk of Sumper, SC, Mandy Care & her husband, John of Bradenton, FL, Carl Smallwood II of Lost Creek, WV, Ayla Polk of Lost Creek, WV and Melissa Polk of Lost Creek, WV; thirteen great grandchildren, Daylen, Hayden, Heidi Polk of Orlando, FL, Jimmy and Dylan Care of Bradenton, FL, David Polk of Jacksonville, FL, Emma, Hunter, Logan and Lilly Polk of Logoff, SC, Kyler Smallwood of Lost Creek, WV, Tyus Smallwood of Shinnston, WV, Ciara Smallwood of Joppatowne, MD; a brother, Calmet Sawyer of Richmond, VA.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Roy H. Polk, Jr., who died on October 22, 2006; three brothers, Jimmy, Johnnie and Jesse Sawyer.
Frances enjoyed playing bingo at Village Square and with her friends in Florida. She also enjoyed playing cards at home with her friends.
