Frances Mae West died October 25, 2021, at the age of 84, in Fredericksburg, Texas. She was born November 18, 1936, in Athens, Alabama. A resident of Okeechobee for 35 years, she was a member of Oakview Baptist Church for 26 years and was also a previous member of Treasure Island Baptist Church for 9 years. She loved the Lord and enjoyed learning more about His love through Sunday School, church attendance, and the love she experienced through each of you. She enjoyed the fellowship of working in the church kitchen with all her friends, decorating the church for special events, and serving those in need.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 52 years, Thomas Hugh West Sr.; parents, Jimmie Burrus and Agnes Boren Burrus; brothers, Joe Burrus and Tommy Burrus; and sister, Marguerite Chaffee.
She is survived by her children, Thomas Hugh West Jr. (Ellen), of Navarre, FL, Rosemarie Huff (Robert), of Fredericksburg, TX, and Gloria Allison West, of Delray Beach, FL; grandchildren, Thomas Hugh West III and Lisa, Jeremy Franklin West and Shelby, Daniel Adam West and Dawn, Matthew Zachary West, Joshua Thomas Dirks, and Monica, Tiffany Michelle Miller and David, Jesse Tyler Dirks and Eden, Jared Taylor Dirks, Austin Christopher West, and Sarah, Sarah Ashley Farmer and Justin, Noah Sebastian; and 20 great-grandchildren.
