On the evening of November 1, 2015, Earlene Hall Jackson joined that great reunion of family in heaven. She was born December 3, 1921, into the family of the late James Arthur and Mary Emmie Shirey Hall in Heard County, Georgia.

Like so many others before her, she moved away from the family farm and sought a better life in Coweta County. She met and married a young man from Moreland and for the next 67 years she would be the loyal wife and helpmate of Ralph Edward Jackson. He preceded her in death in 2008. Earlene was employed for many years with The William L. Bonnell Co. She loved her home church at First Baptist in Moreland. Music was a special passion of hers and she was an active participant in the church choir and also was involved in The Moreland Singers. Her love of music became an even more important part of her life as her health became an issue. She never tired of hearing the great hymns of the faith that buoyed her as life became difficult. One of her favorite hymns was “I Want to Stroll over Heaven with You” and it is a certainty that she is living that dream now. Earlene was a fun-loving person and nothing thrilled her more than an adventure – she would go anywhere and at the drop of a hat. She and Ralph made many a trip for Collins Transport over the years. She was treasured as a parent to Louise Duncan, Joe Jackson, and Judy Johnson. She thrived in her role as a grandmother to Tommy Collins, Tina White, Katie Bates, Will Jackson, and Lisa Marsh. She had 15 great-grandchildren and one great great grandchild. She is also survived by her sister, Hazel Baker.
