Floydie Woodrow Gwinn was born September 5, 1915 to Amos Keller and Lulu Edna (Randolph) Gwinn in Lucas, Iowa. He passed from this life Monday, February 17, 2014 at the Lucas County Health Center located in Chariton, Iowa at the age of 98 years. Floydie was the youngest of his siblings. He had five brothers and four sisters. He spent his childhood growing up around the Lucas area. He attended Chincapen Country School and graduated from the eighth grade. He continued to help his family on the farm. April 15, 1939 he married Agnes Ferrick at the courthouse in Chariton, Iowa. To this union four children were born, Carolyn, Patricia, Robert, and Garry. Floydie and his family lived in Lucas County where he continued to farm. He also worked for the railroad and retired from there at the age of sixty two due to an injury. In his spare time, he loved to be surrounded by family.
