Floyd Raymond Lewis, age 95 gently slipped away on September 26, 2016 at the Bear Lake Skilled Nursing Facility in Montpelier, Idaho. Floyd was born March 9, 1921 to Raymond Tracey and Ruby Poulsen Lewis in Paris, Idaho. He helped his family during the depression by working several jobs. He attended Emerson Elementary School and graduated from Fielding High School. During this time he sang with the glee club and later played drums in Hugh Shepherd”s orchestra and sang there also. His love of music has continued throughout his life and he sang for many years with the Men of the Valley Choir and other choirs. He married Twila Moser on September 2, 1941 in the Salt lake Temple. They lived in California for awhile where he worked at Lockheed Aircraft. He also served in the Army Air Corp. during World War II. They returned to Paris and built their home there. They have one son, Brent (Wenda) Lewis and three daughters, Diana (Delar) Cheney, Donna (DeLoy) Passey and Laurie (Richard) Price. They also had two Indian foster daughters and hosted an exchange student from Australia.
