Floyd R. Beach, 85, Anderson, died October 9, 2011, at his residence. He was born June 5, 1926, in North Vernon, IN, and lived in this area since 1955. Floyd was a Staff Sergeant with the United States Army from 1944 to 1951.
He retired from the Guide Lamp Division of General Motors after 40 years of service. Floiyd attended Fishersburg Wesleyan Church; was a charter member of Anderson Auxilliary Police and the Anderson Civil Defense Police.
Survivors include his wife, whom he married May 1, 1948, in Seymour, IN, Marian Grace Peacock Beach; sons, Steven Beach & David Beach Marilyn; grandchildren, Steven A. Beach, Anthony D. Beach, Brandy N. Blanchard Bruce, David F. Beach Melanie, Steven R. Beach Janette, and Jeremy M. Beach; two step-grandchildren, William R. Simones & Brandon L. Gwyn Kim and twenty-six great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Joel & Bertha Tampest Beach; two brothers, and one sister.
