Floyd M. Carman, 91, of Greenwood, Indiana, went to be with the Lord on January 23, 2020.

The Hope, Indiana native was born November 11, 1928 to the late Willie Carman and Cecil Isley Carman. He married the love of his life, Darlene Carman whom he was married to for 70 years. She preceded him in death on September 24, 2018.

Floyd was a man of Christian Faith and also a Mason. Floyd was an electrician for almost 30 years and retired from General Motors as a supervisor. He enjoyed many things in life which include: fishing, going out to eat, FOX News and most of all watching the Indiana Pacers.

In his spare time he could be found setting up at the flea market where he would repair and sell pocket watches and knives. He enjoyed getting to spend time with family. He never missed the 500 mile race, which he enjoyed attending every year. When Floyd was younger he really enjoyed buying wrecked cars and then restoring them to their former glory.

Floyd had many fun times throughout his life, but most notable, he enjoyed all the scary rides he could partake in. Floyd had no fear, this was proved when he bungee jumped at the age of 69. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends.

He is survived by two daughters, Kathy Long (Jerry) of Greenwood, IN and Becky Collins of FL; two granddaughters, Julie Kopetsky (David) and Amanda Lawrie (Kevin); and four great-grandchildren, Vincent Lawrie, Landon Lawrie, Riley Kopetsky, and Aden Kopetsky. He is preceded in death by his wife Darlene Carman; one granddaughter, Amy Henderson; his parents, Cecil and Willie Carman; and one sister, June Ramsey.
