Floyd passed away on Monday morning, November 21, 2016, at the Laurels of Bedford.
He was born on April 12, 1932, in Gary, IN, the son of Henry and Velma (Bryant) Hinton.
Floyd was a veteran of both the US Navy and US Air Force serving almost 8 years from 1952-1960. He was also a 52-year member of the Laborers’ International Union of North America.
Surviving are two sisters: Lois (Bill) Langs of Climax and Joanne Heath of Battle Creek; two brothers: Wesley Hinton of Climax and Wayne (MaryAnn) Hinton of Battle Creek; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Preceding him in death were his parents; step-mother who raised Floyd since he was 7 years old: Julia (Pelton) Hinton; five brothers: Robert, Thomas, Harry, Henry and Vern Hinton; and three sisters: Clara DeGram, Thelma Gilbert and Flora Takamoto.
