Floyd E. “Gene” Parvis, 98, Anderson, passed away June 6, 2012, at Community Hospital Anderson after a brief illness. He was born March 16, 1914, in Frankfort, Indiana, and resided in Anderson. Mr. Parvis has lived in this area since 1932. Gene was employed by Delco Remy retiring in 1976. He was a member of the Cross Roads United Methodist Church, ODD Fellows, UAW 662, & volunteered at St. Johns. Mr. Parvis is survived by his wife Vivian Fountain Parvis whom he married May 13, 2000.
He is also survived by his daughter Penny Skinner Roger of Pendleton; 7 grandchildren & 5 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his first wife Helen Parvis who passed away August 14, 1994 whom he was married to for 59 years; parents, Art & Eulula Harris Parvis; sister, Thelma Wrin; & son, Kim Parvis.
