Floyd “Buck” G. Jones, 81, passed away on March 6, 2022, at Huntsville Hospital. He was born October 18, 1940, in Mojave California, the son of Thomas Floyd and Lorraine Gene’ (Brown) Jones.
Buck graduated from Needles High School, Class of 1958. He attended college in Hollister, Ca and received an associate degree. He then returned to Needles where he courted and married Twyla Janice Willburn on November 6, 1960, in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Buck and Twyla have lived in many parts of the country including California, Texas, North Carolina, and Alabama. He worked in the oil and gas industry as an engine and compressor analyst specialist for most of his life and retired from AtlasCopco.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by oldest son Floyd Anthony Jones. Surviving in addition to his wife, Twyla Janice (Willburn) Jones, are his sister, Cosette (Jones) Riggs and her husband Charles Riggs, his son, John Randall and his wife Suzanne Catherine (Nussberger) Jones, his daughter, Julie Dian (Jones) Hatfield and her husband Steve Hatfield. Grandchildren: Floyd Thomas, Tyler Wade, Traci Danielle, Baylee Michelle, Alexis Josephine, Eric Arthur, Samuel Andrew, Luke Ambrose, and Rachel Dian. Great Grandchildren: Scarlett Rose, Emma Dian, Aspen Veronica, Cecilia Michelle, Beau Hubert, and Chance John Bennet. Many nieces and nephews
Buck was baptized at the hospital in the presence of his family members prior to his passing. He is a beloved son, brother, husband and father. He will be sorely missed by family and friends.
