Florence R. Heinlen, 99, formerly of Williamsport, died peacefully, Tuesday, Dec. 26, 2017, at Aristacare of Loyalsock.
Born Oct. 19, 1918, in Anthony Township, she was a daughter of Clarence and Lizzie (Metzger) Fisher. She was the widow of Roscoe V. Heinlen who died March 19, 2003, after 64 years of marriage.
Florence enjoyed puzzles and word searches. Florence was a member of the former Memorial Baptist Church and a former member of St. John’s Chapel, Linden.
Surviving are her son Richard A. Heinlen, of Williamsport; four grandchildren, Ruth E. Somers, of Schuylkill Haven, Stacy L. Gardner, of Williamsport, Lori L. Griffin, of Williamsport, and Alicia M. Nixon, of Nassau, Bahamas; eight great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; a sister, Mildred Cavanaugh, of Williamsport; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter-in-law, Suzanne Heinlen in 2015 and four siblings, Martha Thompson, Mary Ulmer, Stella Thomas and Nelson Fisher.
