A life well lived leaves behind a beautiful bouquet of memories. One remarkable lady, our mom, Florence M. (Almer) Wilson, passed away at the age of 96 years young.
Born in Maynard, OH on January 7, 1920, Florence had been an Akron resident for most of her life. She was a graduate of South High School and retired from the Akron Board of Education. She was a lifelong member of St. Bernard Catholic Church in Akron.
Florence is survived by her daughters Donna (Jim) Evans & Doreen (Jim) Glasgow; beloved grandsons James & Scott Glasgow, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and their families. Florence was preceded in death by her husbands, America Almer & Robert Wilson; infant son, Ronald; parents, Mario & Carmela Severino; sisters, Connie DiBenedetto, Genevieve Tomei, & Mary Blaz; and brother, James Severino.
The family would like to extend their thanks to the hard working and dedicated aides and nurses of Southern Hills at St. Luke’s North Canton and Senior Independence.
