Florence Lucille Hays, 94 of Centralia, passed away Wednesday, September 24, 2014 at Centralia Fireside House.
She was born January 6, 1920 in Centralia, daughter of Joseph William Buehne and Ella Frances (Seeds) Buehne.
She married Elijah “E.J.” Hays in 1939 and he preceded her in death in 1989.
She is survived by two sons: Larry Hays and wife Brenda of Mesa, Arizona and Jack Hays of Centralia; three grandchildren: Kelly Gundersen and husband Einar of Gilbert, Arizona, Taylor Hays of St. Louis, Missouri and Hampton Hays of Centralia; one great-grandson, Kyle Gundersen of Gilbert, Arizona; two brothers: Jack Buehne and wife Rosalee of Godfrey, Illinois and Norman Buehne of Maine; a sister, Aileen Reese of Centralia; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and 11 brothers and sisters.
Lucille enjoyed embroidering, quilting, gardening and yard work. Most of all she loved spending time with her family.
