Florence “Doey” Grisko, 77, widow of John J. Grisko, Jr. of Bristol, died at home on May 12, 2008 after a six year battle with breast cancer.
She was born on August 26, 1930 in Bristol, a daughter of the late Vito Anthony and Elsie (Spinelli) Cistulli.
Mrs. Grisko is survived by her daughter Jody Grisko of Bristol; her sister and brother-in-law, Doryne and John Hunter of Windsor; her nephews, Craig Hunter and his wife Harmony of Williamsburg, Va.; Todd Hunter and his wife Selena of Boynton Beach, Fl.; her niece Nora Chamberlain and her husband David and their children Meredith and Daniel Chamberlain, all of Old Saybrook.
She also leaves nieces, Cynthia Oleyer of Bloomfield, Andrea Reilly of Monroe, Jane Aldieri and her husband Mark of Haddam Neck, and several more grandnephews, a grandniece, and one great grandnephew. Florence was predeceased by her sister Virginia Reilly.
The family would like to acknowledge and thank our “angel”, Anna, for the wonderful and loving care bestowed upon both Florence and Jody, during these final weeks. Thanks and appreciation also to the Bristol Hospital Homecare Agency staff, especially Donna Merraro, and the entire hospice team.
Florence cherished her family and friends and never missed sending special occasion cards to everyone.
