Effie Florence Emery Potter, 91, of Idaho Falls, passed away December 29, 2020, at her home. She was under the care of Hands of Hope Hospice.
Flo was born July 1, 1929, in Salt Lake City, Utah, to George Rhodes Emery and Ida Bertha Wilding Emery. She grew up and attended schools in Rexburg and graduated from Madison High School. She also attended Ricks College.
On March 28, 1953, she married Donald Gene Potter in Madison County, Idaho. Flo and Donald made their home in Idaho Falls, Idaho, where Flo was homemaker and mother. She also worked as a waitress at North Hiway Café and Ada’s Café.
Flo is survived by her sons, Michael “Mike” R. (Cherie) Potter of Rexburg, ID, and Don (Diane) Potter of Moscow, ID; 11 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren.
