Fleta Joe Daniel Smith age 100 passed away Saturday July 4, 2020 in her home with family at her December 20, 1919 in Fredericktown, Missouri. Fleta Joe was born to Otis “Dewey” and Mable (Hobbs) Daniel and was raised by her loved grandparents John and Nannie Mae Daniel in Hillsdale Michigan. She Graduated Valedictorian of her class in 1937. She married Bryce Kay Smith on February 5, 1962. Sadly he preceded her in death June 1, 2003. Fleta Joe worked as a salesperson for Burroughs Business Equipment and a commercial floor treatment company in Detroit. During her early retirement she attended Michigan Barber School and practiced as a barber in Trenton Michigan. She was an active member of the Red Hats in New Port Richie FL and a member of Monroe Center for Healthy Living in Monroe. She enjoyed dancing reading and dining out with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She also loved reminiscing her traveling days having visited 13 countries with her husband Bryce. Fleta Joe leaves to cherish her memory a daughter Letha A Smith Warren; a Brother Paul (Jean) Daniel; a niece Debora Vedro and her loved close friend Janie Grovin.19 grandchildren 42 great grandchildren and 49 great great grandchildren; as well several nieces and nephews.Sadly she was preceded in death by three step children: John Bryce Smith, Shirley Mae Cipielewski, and Donna Marie Ferry; as well as three siblings: Otis Rex Daniel, Ruth Vedro and Edward Daniel. One grandson Michael A. final resting place will be at Florida National Cemetery Bushnell Florida with her husband.
