Muncie – Flaustine Billman, 80, passed away Sunday, February 27, 2011, at Aspen Grove Assisted Living in Temperance, Michigan following an extended illness.
Flaustine was born in Wayne County, Kentucky on July 28, 1930, the daughter of Lilburn and Marie (West) Burris, and attended Muncie, Indiana Schools.
Mrs. Billman worked for Ball Brothers for over 13 years then worked for Marhoeffer Meat Packing Company for 17 years, until her retirement in 1988.
Survivors include a son, Bill Pierce; two stepsons, George Billman, (wife-Melissa), Indianapolis, and Scott Billman, (wife-Nancy), Indianapolis; two daughters, Jewell Patton, (husband-Ronnie), Temperance, Michigan, and Edwina Fair, (husband-Jerry), Muncie; two stepdaughters, Tammy Patterson, (husband-Steve), Columbus, Ohio, and Lisa Williams, (husband-Brian), Texas; two brothers, Tommy Burris, Muncie, and Kenneth Burris, Muncie; two sisters, Lydia Patton, (husband-David), Muncie, and Lela Burris, Winchester; six grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 17 years, Joseph Billman; a brother, Caleb Burris; three sisters, Lois Sarah, Mary Pittman, and Monace Bilbrey. She was also preceded in death by a twin sister.
