Loving husband, father, son, uncle, nephew, cousin and friend, Fidel Silas Ayon, 34, went to Heaven on Thursday, February 17, 2022.

Silas was preceded in death by his father Joe Ayon, Sr.; sister Andrea-Gahate; son Luke Ayon; cousin Conrad Ayon; grandparents: Conrado and Teresita Ayon, Fidel and Elenore Gahate.

He is survived by his loving wife Jessica Geoffrion Ayon; children: Joseph, Matthew, Angelyssa, Abrianna, Faith; mother Sharon; twin brother JoJo and multiple family members and friends.

Silas was born on November 12, 1987 in Albuquerque, NM and raised in Placitas, Bernalillo and  the South Valley. He attended Bernalillo schools and participated in football and wrestling. He met his wife in November of 2007. He established his 12+ year career with Lamar Outdoor Advertising. Fidel was a very hard worker and quickly promoted up within Lamar. In 2019 he was offered the Operations Manager position for The Lamar Beaumont, Texas Plant. He moved his family in July of 2019 and started a new beginning in Texas.

Silas was dedicated to his wife, children, and mother. He always enjoyed taking them fishing, to the beach, and camping. He was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan and loved to grill and host get togethers at his home. His heart was big and he was everyone’s handyman for no fee, but a beer and time spent. He enjoyed working on cars and welding and was the President of South West Style Car Club in 2010/2011. He served our Lord as a 3rd degree knight, in the Knights of Columbus council 9105 San Martin de Porres. He also was an alter server as a child at San Antonio Catholic Mission, and God father of 3 beautiful girls, his nieces: Teresita Ayon Cranston-Hermann, Xenia Aragon, and Hailey Olivarez.

Silas had a smile that would light up a room, a personality that made you feel like you knew him for years, from the first day you met him. His jokes and sarcasm kept everyone laughing. He was so strong, big hearted, a great teacher, worker, leader, father, best friend and most of all husband. He will be truly missed always and forever.
