D’AMBROSIOFerdinand “Fred”, age 92 of Gladwyne, PA and formerly of West Philadelphia, on November 16, was a graduate of Overbrook High School, a proud Veteran of the U.S. Army/AirCorps, and a retired member of the International Union of Operating Engineers, Local 542. He was also a water-skiing advocate and a founding member of the former Neptune Ski Club.Husband of the late Susan M. (nee Coulter), and the late Catherine T. (nee O’Brien), brother of the late Nicola D’Ambrosio and grandfather of the late John Ruley and Emma D’Ambrosio.Survived by his children, Barbara Ann Ruley, Fred D’Ambrosio, Jr. (Karen), Richard D’Ambrosio (Susan), Kathleen Ewing (Robert) and James D’Ambrosio,9 grandchildren; Kate, Dee, Fred III, Fara, Anna, Rich Jr., Ryan, Kyle, and Jessica, and 11 great-grandchildren; Shaun, Marcus, Sarah, Abby, Avery, Jason, Brooke, Morgan, Parker, Lillian and Madison; his brother Anthony D’Ambrosio and his sisters, Mary Faraone and Angela Thomas, as well as many loving nieces and nephews.
