Felix Brausam, known by his family affectionately as “The Chief”, Brausam, 84, of the Silver Ridge Park West section of Berkeley Township died on December 20, 2014 at home. Born in Yugoslavia he was put in a concentration camp as a teenager and managed to escape with his family to Austria and made it to America in 1952. He felt an obligation to his new Country and joined the National Guard and was then drafted into the US Army.
He worked for Toms River Chemical as an Operator and later for the Toms River School System. After retiring he and his wife Honey enjoyed many winters in Boynton Beach, Fla. Felix continued to travel after Honey’s passing with his son Erwen and close friends to many parts of the world. Predeceased by his beloved wife Johanna “Honey” nee Haintz. He is survived by his 2 sons; Joseph and his wife Patricia of Bayville, NJ and Erwen of Toms River, NJ. 2 grandchildren Joseph and Kimberly and his trusted companion Scout.
