Felicitas “Licho” A. Macias, 92 years young, a resident of Bayard passed away surrounded by her family on Monday, January 20, 2020 at Silver City Care Center.
Licho was born on May 18, 1927 in Santa Rita to Julian and Erlinda (Ambriz) Macias. She worked at the Bayard Drug Store for 38 years. Licho loved to travel and enjoyed singing in the Church Choir at Our Lady of Fatima for many years. She also enjoyed spending time with her family, caring for her many nieces and nephews as they grew up, listening to music and baking her delicious chocolate chip cookies, biscochos and pies. Although she never married, or had children, she had many nieces and nephews she loved as her own.
Licho is survived by her sister, Isabel “Tema” Macias of Bayard; sister-in-law, Ida Barraza and husband,, Seferino Barraza of Arenas Valley; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by parents, Julian and Erlinda Macias; two sisters, Ramona Marquez and Clara Macias; two brothers, Silvestre Macias and Juan Simon Macias.
