Faye Eva Von Hausen was born February 20, 1921 at the family farm home nine miles northeast of Aunora, NE in Hamilton County the third child of Arthur and Laura Fenster Von Hausen.
In 1928 the family moved to York County, near Arboville. She attended Immanuel Parochial School and graduated from Polk High School in 1938.
On December 30, 1939 she married William C. Filter at Scottsbluff, NE. They lived in the western Nebraska and Torrington, WY area, later moving to Central City, NE where she worked at Central Bank. They had three children Barbara, William L. and Douglas. Mr. Filter died November 5, 1966. She was a lifelong member of the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod where she was baptized, confirmed, twice married and was a faithful worker of the church.
