Reidsville, NC

Faye Fulp Crutchfield, 90, of Reidsville, died peacefully Sunday September 24, 2017 at the Hospice Home of Rockingham County. She was a loving wife, mother, grand and great grandmother.
A native of Rockingham County, she was a daughter of the late James Roy “Jack” and Mozelle Dill Fulp and had lived in Reidsville most of her life. She had a long and fulfilling life. She traveled the world and enjoyed ballroom dancing with her husband Jack and loved her weekly card games with her bridge and canasta “girls.” She also enjoyed the quiet pleasures of reading, watching old movies and she especially loved watching the birds at her many bird feeders. But Faye was most happy when sharing her life with her grandchildren. Faye remained strong throughout her life with the confidence of her faith which was nourished at Main Street United Methodist Church. Her last prayer was, “Dear Lord, hold me in your loving arms and take me home.” And now she is home. She was preceded in death by her husband of fifty-seven years, Ira George “Jack” Crutchfield, Jr., and a brother, Glen D. “Bo” Fulp.
Survivors include her son: David Alan Crutchfield, a daughter: Betty Crutchfield Ross and husband Ken, and a sister Joan Roberts. She was grandmother to Sarah Thompson and husband John, Dustin Crutchfield, Claire Ross, Matthew Crutchfield and wife Hillary. She was great grandmother to Avery and John ”Jack” Crutchfield. She was loved and will be deeply missed by all.
The family appreciates the care she received at Annie Penn Hospital. We would like to thank the entire third floor staff and Drs. Davis, Zamora and Hernandez in particular. And we would like to thank everyone at Hospice for their warmth and compassion.
