Fay Owen Ozmore, 77, of Isle of Palms, SC, wife of the late Jerry Lee Ozmore died Tuesday, August 5, 2014. Fay was born June 15, 1937 in Birmingham, Alabama, daughter of the late Raymond E. Owen and Carolyn Wynn Owen. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her sister, Patricia Ann Duncan. She was a member of First United Methodist Church on the Isle of Palms where she was involved with the United Methodist Women, Methodist Youth Ministry, and was the church secretary for several years. Fay loved her family and especially her eight grand children. She enjoyed spending time with her family, friends and her many pets at her house on the island. She touched many lives as a daughter, sister, wife, friend, mother, and grandmother. Everyone was welcomed and loved by her through her many names – “Fay” “Mama”, “Mrs. O.”, “Aunt Fay”, “Grandmama”, and “Mema”. She is survived by her two daughters, Amy (Sam) Claxton of Mount Pleasant, SC, Elizabeth (Scott) Fournier of Mount Pleasant, SC; two sons, Thomas Eugene (John) Ozmore of Charleston, SC, James Gregory (Julie) Ozmore of Lugoff, SC; brother, Raymond E. (Judy) Owen Jr. of Arlington, TX; eight Grandchildren, Malarie Falls, Brittany Hazel, Kristina and Malcolm Claxton, Scotty, Jake, Will and Emma Fournier.
