Father Alan (Francis J.) Holhl, age 95, formerly of the Monastery in Huntsville, peacefully passed away at the VA Medical Center in Salt Lake City. He was born January 28, 1926 in Chicago, Illinois and served in the US Navy.
He was solemnity professed at Our Lady of the Holy Trinity Abbey as a Trappist monk on November 11, 1958 and later ordained to the priesthood on June 13, 1963. His major responsibility at the Abbey was as infirmarian.
