Fairis G. “Slim” Jones, 92, of Greenfield, passed away May 30, 2012 in Greenfield, IN. He was born December 14, 1919 in Burkesville, KY to the late Thomas and Genie (Coffee) Jones.
Slim retired from the Fortville Grain Elevator where he worked in shipping and receiving. He was also a U.S. Army veteran. Slim is survived by daughter Betty (Bob) Doddridge of Greenfield, sister Mary Ruth (Wilburn) Garrett of Chesterfield, IN; grandson Jason (Megan) Doddridge of Japan; granddaughter: Jody (James) Lukowiak of Westfield; great granddaughter Carlie Lukowiak and great granddaughter Lucy Doddridge; several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife Ruth (Baker) Jones; siblings: Lennis Jones, Oris Jones, Marshal Jones, Richard Jones and Edith McIntyre.
