Fabiola Carrillo of New Milford was 90 years old when she left us gracefully on August 12, 2016 surrounded by her loving family. She joins her Parents, Paulina and Justo Pastor Cespedes of Cali, Colombia. She leaves her beloved Husband, Luis Carlos Carrillo after 56 years of marriage. She was a proud Mother to Luis E. Carrillo and his Wife Mary H. of North Andover, MA, John M. Carrillo and his Wife Mary of Minneapolis, MN, Martha L. Carrillo of New Milford and her Fiancée Daniel J. Danzico, and caring Grandmother to Justin Rivera. She is predeceased by her Sisters, Rosario Giraldo and Ligia Staib and her Brothers Oscar , Pastor, Jaime, and Herando Cespedes. She is also survived by Nieces and Nephews, Grandnieces and Grandnephews in Florida, New Jersey, Colombia, and Spain.
She was born in Apia, Colombia, S.A., and raised in Cali, Colombia. She was a Nun in the Order of the Medalla Milagrosa (Miracle of the Medallion) in Cali, Colombia where she received training as a surgical nurse. She left the convent to start a family, and moved to Englewood N.J. in 1965 with her husband and family to pursue their American dream.
After working as an operations manager for Hudson Universal for several years, she retired with her husband. She proudly helped raise her grandson, Justin Rivera.
