Evon Meyer, age 88, of Algona passed away on September 11, 2021 at Algona Manor Care Center. Evon June Meyer, the daughter of Arthur and Hulga (Jensen) Price was born on April 25, 1933 in Hersey, Wisconsin. In 1955 Evon married Raymond Meyer. They were divorced in 1997. She was a member of the Wesleyan Methodist church in Oakdale MN where she taught Bible School, CYC, and youth studies for 16 years. Evon love children and fostered a total of 19 children through the years. Evon enjoyed the outdoors, gardening, fishing, spending time with family, reading, listening to music, singing and spending time with her beloved dog Sadie. Left to cherish Evon’s memory are her children, Keith Meyer of Algona, Dawn Rightman and Lynn Mathison; 3 grandchildren; and sisters, Hilda Rasmussen of St. Paul, MN and Rosemary Ivy of Whittier, CA. She was preceded in death her father, mother and a brother, Art Price Jr.
