Everett Roy Palmer, 77, of Rt. 6, Clarksburg, passed away on Thursday, July 1, 2010 in the Louis A. Johnson VA Medical Center following an extended illness. Mr. Palmer was a retired machine operator with Anchor Hocking Glass Factory. He was born in Troy, WV on March 23, 1933, a son of the late Clyde and Dulcy J. Earle Palmer. He is survived by his wife, Beverly Fowler Palmer, whom he married August 3, 1957. Also surviving are one daughter, Kimberly J. Nicewander and her husband Bob, Altoona, PA; two sons, Richard W. Palmer, Clarksburg, and Brian S. Palmer and his wife Gina, Clarksburg; five grandchildren, Lacey Palmer, Katelyn Nicewander, Bayley Palmer, Kelsey Palmer, and Emma Palmer; and several nieces and nephews. Mr. Palmer was the last surviving member of his immediate family, having also been preceded in death by two brothers, Rob and Charles Palmer; and two sisters, Mary Stalder and Bertha Goodwin. Mr. Palmer was a United States Army Veteran having served 18 months in Germany. He loved his wife, children and grandchildren, and enjoyed spending time with them.
