Evelyn (Maciorowski) Zuraw, 93, died on Friday, March 29, 2013 at the Copley Hospital in VT. She was born in Westfield, MA, and was the daughter of the late Stanislaw and Marjanna (Rudkowska) Maciorowski. She was a long time resident of New Britain, CT, and was a parishioner of Holy Cross Church. Evelyn was pre-deceased by her husband of thirty-nine years, Michael T. Zuraw and by her son, Michael A. Zuraw. She is survived by her daughter Susan Zuraw and her husband, Don Flenke, her daughter Maryanne Alos, and by her son, Stephen Zuraw and his wife, Marcia. She also leaves four grandchildren, Nadean, Joseph, Jesse, and Erik and three great grandchildren. Evelyn was also pre-deceased by two brothers, Edward and Stanley Maciorowski, and by her sister Anna Gontarz. Evelyn worked for the New Britain Public Library for many years, often translating for the Polish-speaking community. She was an avid reader, a prolific letter-writer, and when she lived in her home in New Britain she enjoyed gardening.
