Evelyn Seats Evelyn Seats, age 87, of Sandoval, passed away Thursday, February 1, 2018, at SSM Health St. Mary’s hospital. Evelyn was born June 22, 1930, in Central City, IL, the daughter of Kenneth and Evelyn (Grear) Dill. She married Clifton Charles Seats in Sandoval, IL in 1946 and he preceded her in death in 1995.
Evelyn is survived by three sons: Steven Seats and wife Ramona of Pearland, TX, Anthony Seats of Magnolia Springs, AL, and Danny Seats of Sandoval; two grandchildren: Jeffrey Seats and wife Rama of Sandoval, and Joshua Seats and wife Shannon of Evansville, IN; one great grandchild: Cameron Seats. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and one sister Shirley Kretzer.
Evelyn went to cosmetology school and became a Beautician. She enjoyed gardening and home decorating. She had a passion for painting with oils, watercolors and acrylics. She was well known for her murals, in which some of her work is displayed in the Methodist Church in Sandoval and Goose Creek Oil Company. Her artwork was featured in art shows in Columbus, Ohio, Sandoval and Centralia. Most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.
