Evelyn Schiller, 93, of Sawyer, Michigan died Monday morning, December 22, 2014 at West Woods of Bridgman.Mrs. Schiller was born September 24, 1921 to Henry and Olga (Krieger) Schmidt in Sawyer, Michigan. She graduated from New Troy High School and worked at the Warren Featherbone Factory during the war. She married Edward “Shack” Schiller on December 29, 1945 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Sawyer.
Mrs. Schiller enjoyed gardening, canning her produce, and caring for her home.Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law Edward and Loretta Schiller of Troy, Michigan; grandson and his wife, Kyle and Allison Schiller of Lansing, Michigan; sister Ruth Sinner of Sawyer, brother Dean Schmidt of LaPorte, Indiana and many nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by her husband on December 12, 2010, and by her sister, Wilma Ott and her brother, Junior.
