EAST CANAAN/FLORIDALEE – Evelyn R. Lee, 90, of Largo, FLA and East Canaan, Ct., died Tuesday, November 21, 2006 at Sharon Hospital after a short illness. She was the widow of Wilbur G. Lee. Mrs. Lee was born March 24, 1916 in Stafford Springs; the daughter of the late Henry and Elsie (Horton) Leffingwell. She was a member of Church of the Isles, Indian Rocks Beach, Florida and enjoyed the Women’s Club at the church. She was a member of the Red Hat Society and a life member of the Winchester Grange. She is survived by two sons, Robert Lee and his wife Harleyne of Harrison, ME and Melvin Lee and his wife Gloria of East Canaan, CT; a brother, Robert Leffingwell and his wife Eleanor of Union, CT; three grandchildren, Darrell Lee and his wife Stephanie of New Hampshire, Kirsten Lee Brownlee and her husband Leon of Virginia and Matthew Monroe of Colchester, CT; three great grandchildren, West, Tyler and Eason Brownlee and a special son-in-law, James Caronna of Colchester, CT. She was predeceased by her beloved daughter, Sandra Lee Monroe Caronna; a granddaughter, Nora Lee Monroe; a sister, Muriel Stevens; and a son-in-law, James Monroe.
