Evelyn Lucille Gilbreath Holland, 77, passed away Sunday, December, 3, 2006 in a local hospital. She was a beloved wife, mother and grandmother. Mrs. Holland was born in Rainsville, Alabama, May 23, 1929 but had lived most of her life in Chattanooga and North Georgia. Mrs. Holland was retired from J. C. Penney Company. She was preceded in death by her parents, William Baxter and Ella Gilbreath, Rainsville, Alabama, brother, Ralph Gilbreath, sisters, Dollie Jane Burns, Ethel Burns, Leona Bowlen and Belle Kihm. Survivors include devoted husband of 60 years, Orville Holland; daughter, Sandra “Sandy” Bowman, husband, Dennis, Rossville; son, Greg Holland, wife, Karla, Ringgold; two special grandsons, Shaun Bowman and Jordan Holland; two loving sisters, Catherine Tipton, East Ridge, Willie B. Price, Bryant, Ala.; and one loving sister-in-law, Maybell York, East Ridge; several nieces and nephews.
