Evelyn Louise Daigle, age 78, of Lakewood, CO, passed away peacefully, with her daughter, Traci by her side, Sunday September 5, 2021.
Evelyn was born on March 16, 1943 to Lyle and Lura (Honeywell) Anderson in
Scottsbluff Nebraska, where she attended school, graduating from Scottsbluff
High School in 1961. It was also in Scottsbluff where she met some of her lifelong friends, dating back to kindergarten.
In her adult years, Evelyn worked at the federal Center for over twenty years before retirement, as an executive secretary.
She raised three children, the lights of her life, Traci, Kristin, and Corey.
In 1994, Evelyn married Paul Daigle. Together they enjoyed traveling, camping, playing cards, games, and she enjoyed crocheting blankets. She adored her family. We will miss her joy for life, her sarcasm, and her ability to make us laugh when we least expected it.
Evelyn is survived by her children Traci Wills of Lakewood, Kristin Meehan and Jeff Birkholtz of Otsego, Minnesota, Corey and Heather Meehan of Yukon, Oklahoma;
5 grandchildren and their spouses: Meagan Olson, Justin and Lena Olson, Tanner and Jenna Graff, Mallory Graff, Kyle Meehan, 9 great grandchildren, Dominick, Makayla, Anabelle, Jayden, Jordan, Julian, Adilynn, Ellie, and Olivia.
She is also survived by her sister Joy Sanders, of Bridgeport, Nebraska, and many nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Paul, and brother in-law Lyle Sanders.
