Evelyn Lorene “Tiny” Gregory, 92 of Sandoval, passed away Monday, May 27, 2019, at her home. “Tiny” was born June 29, 1926, in Centralia, IL, the daughter of Earl Wilson and Vera Florence (Hamilton) Wilson.
She married John L. “Whitie” Gregory on August 24, 1944, in Centralia and he preceded her in death after 73 years of marriage on February 10, 2018. She is survived by a son: Ken Gregory and wife Nancy of Sandoval; two daughters: Mary Seats and husband Tim of Texico and Sandy Cox and husband Bill of Patoka; six grandchildren: Chad Gregory and wife Kim, Kerry Gregory, Kelly Gregory, and wife Tricia, Jaime Seats, Amy Seats and Fiancé Brian Gibson, and Katie Cox; three great-grandchildren: Lindsay Foster and husband Tyler, Jordan Gregory and wife Allison, and Nick Gregory; five great-great-grandchildren: Madison, Gabe, Kendel, Kylie, and Kenslie; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a son: Steve Gregory, a granddaughter: Deena Harden; two brothers: Bob Wilson and William Portis. “Tiny” was a member of the First Christian Church Disciples of Christ in Sandoval. In their younger years, “Tiny” and “Whitie” went dancing on Saturday nights for many years. They spent many weekends at their clubhouse on Centralia Lake and enjoyed camping. “Tiny enjoyed embroidering quilt blocks and made many baby quilts. ” Tiny” was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and her family meant the world to her.
