The Rush County, Indiana native was born May 22, 1933 to the late Nealie M. Shelton and Hazel (Brown) Shelton.
Evelyn was a member of Mt. Pleasant Christian Fellowship for over 22 years. She loved reading her Bible, playing cards, her dogs and watching the Hallmark channel.
She is survived by four daughters, Patricia Ann Jenkins (Vernon L.) of Greencastle, IN, Doris Mitchell (Ronald) of Greenfield, IN, Theresa Hix (Dave) of Greencastle, IN, and Rebecca Flake (Rusty) of Greenwood, IN and fourteen grandchildren, Melissa Games, James Jenkins, Roger Mitchell, Michael Mitchell, Michele Mitchell, James Mitchell, Shawn Flake, Anthony Flake, Randy Flake, David Puckett, Loriane Stickles, Allen Puckett, Cigi Roberts, and Dustin Flake, many great-grandchildren and was a great-great grandmother.
Evelyn was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Lawrence Puckett and two sons, Robert Dale Puckett and Lawrence Allen Puckett.
