of Kenton

She was born on June 21, 1919 in Hardin Co to Irvin & Mary (Coppess) Foit. She married John T. Holland on June 11, 1947 and he preceded her in death on March 18 1982.  Evelyn is survived by her daughter Mary Ann (Peter) Holvik-Holland of rural Hardin Co, her son Thomas J. (Ann Marie) Holland of Cochranton, PA, her granddaughter Sarah Emily (Michael) Moore and their son Owen of Adamsville. PA, and her grandson John Holland and his fiancAC. Elizabeth Fischer of Cochranton, Pa. She is also survived by a nephew Reg (JoAnn) Jackson of Toledo.

She was a graduate of Kenton High School, class of 1936. She attended Ohio Wesleyan University and then graduated from the Ohio State University where she played violin in the University Orchestra. She taught school at Hardin Central until her marriage. She was a homemaker and managed her family farm. She was member of the First United Methodist Church in Kenton, the United Methodist Women, Latham Chapter of Eastern Star, Hardin County Museums, and the Hardin County Humane Society. Evelyn enjoyed family vacations and later traveled with her children and friends. She loved her family and friends and sharing meals with them. As long as she was able, she played in her church bell choir and enjoyed bell choir music and concerts. She was an avid Ohio State Buckeyes Football fan.
