Evelyn Webb Arrowood, 94 of Sharpsburg, passed away Wednesday, March 1, 2017. She was born April 24, 1922 in College Park to the late William Thomas Webb & Mattye Martin Webb. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Alvin Gilbert Arrowood & brother Maurice Webb. Mrs.Arrowood was a longtime resident of Sharpsburg and was an active member of Sharpsburg Baptist Church. Evelyn graduated from Newnan High School and attended Atlanta Commerce Business school in Atlanta. She worked for Arnco Steel, Coweta County School System, and Southern Mills. Evelyn was Sharpsburg City Clerk for many years while he husband was mayor. She was an avid reader and enjoyed quilting.
