Evelyn Essex, 90, of Anderson, IN, passed away after a brief illness on December 30, 2021, at Community Hospital. She was born July 3, 1931, to the late William Russell and Gerlena Montgerard Snook in Danville, IL.
Evelyn loved to spend time with her family camping and fishing.
She leaves to cherish her memories, her five daughters, Patricia Damcott, Barbra Sykes, Jennifer Jackson (Brian), Carolyn Staggs, and Deborah Sykes; 11 grandchildren, whom she helped raise, Yvonne, Leeita, Michaela, Lisa, Katrina, Jeremiah, Tyrone, Taneka, Valerie, Jamie, and Alexis; 32 great-grandchildren, and her sister, Sara Lou Thiede.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Essex; brothers, Homer, Richard, and Keith; sister, Margaret, and four great-grandchildren.
