Evelyn A. (Brusius) Bell, 92, of Richland Twp., died Mon., Feb. 20, at home. She was the wife of the late Frank R. Bell, Sr. Born in Philadelphia, she was a daughter of the late Leonard and Elizabeth (McIntyre) Brusius. Evelyn was a Licensed Practical Nurse and and EMT, and she cared for patients at Doylestown Hospital, Belle Haven Nursing Home, and with the Warrington Ambulance Corps. She was so passionate about her work and loved helping people so much, she didn’t retire until she was 77 years old. She was an artist who always kept active, her mind planning new projects even as her hands were busy with works in progress. She was a seamstress and a painter, but her favorite creations were her dolls. She and her husband Frank made porcelain dolls together, with Frank firing the heads and hands in their kiln while Evelyn painted their features and sewed their clothing. She sold her dolls in a local store she owned, Bell’s Workshop, and her dolls even sold in Disney World and in California. Especially noteworthy is the Mary Elizabeth doll she created as it is registered with the Library of Congress. Evelyn was strong in her faith and enjoyed reading the Bible. She was a volunteer at Calvary Temple, offering telephone support to those calling in during broadcast services. She was a big-hearted woman who loved and was loved by her family, her friends, and her dogs. She will be especially missed by her Pomeranian, Nino. She is survived by her daughter Linda Sepenthal, husband George, of Richland Twp., and by her son Frank Bell, Jr., wife Julie, of Burlington, NJ.
